Built for both sides of the job

Subbies want steady work and firms that pay. Firms want people who turn up and do it right. SubbieSnap keeps a record of both.

For subbies

  • Work near you in your trades, with the rate on every job
  • See whether a firm pays on time before you take the job
  • Keep your cards, insurance and ID in one place
  • Show when you're free, so firms find you between jobs
  • Apply on your own or as a gang
How it works for subbies

For firms

  • Post a job in minutes, from your phone or the office
  • Search subbies and gangs by trade, distance, availability and rating
  • Check cards and insurance before you hire
  • See who's confirmed for tomorrow
  • Save the subbies you rate and invite them first next time
How it works for firms

How it works

If you're a subbie

  1. Set up your profile

Your trades, where you're based, how far you'll travel, your cards and your insurance. It's your application for every job.

  2. Apply in one tap

Every job shows the rate, the start date, the payment terms and the firm's record. Add a note if you want to.

  3. Get hired, get paid

Accept the offer, get the site address, and turn up. After pay day, you say whether the firm paid on time.

If you're hiring

  1. Post a job

Trade, how many people, the area, the start date, the rate and when you pay. It takes a few minutes, from your phone or a computer.

  2. Shortlist and check

See each subbie's reviews and record, shortlist the ones you like, then check their cards and insurance and chat.

  3. Make an offer

They accept, you get their number, and the day before the start they confirm they're still on.

Trust, both ways

Everyone on SubbieSnap builds a record from real jobs, so the next person knows who they're dealing with.

Reviews both ways
After every job, the firm and the subbie review each other. Neither sees the other's review until both are in, so nobody's marked down for being honest.
Pays on time
When pay falls due, the subbie says whether they were paid on time. Each firm's record shows how often it pays on time.
Firms checked
Limited companies are checked at Companies House: whether they're active, how long they've traded and any insolvency.
No labour agencies
Only firms that hire directly can post. Posts from likely agencies are held for review.
No-shows count
A subbie who accepts and doesn't turn up gets it on their record. So does a firm that cancels at the last minute.
Report and block
On every profile and every chat. Blocking works both ways.

Free for subbies, always

Subbies never pay for anything, and SubbieSnap never takes a cut of anyone's pay. Firms pay subbies directly, just as they do now.

Firms get free job posts when they join, then buy packs of posts when they need more. The price never depends on who you hire.
